WEBAS-AR
Building Automation AR App
Overview
The Augmented Reality (AR)-based mobile control system extends the functions of conventional building automation systems to mobile environments, visualizing the operating information of on-site equipment in real time and providing an intuitive monitoring and control environment for smart building operation. Using smartphones and tablets, users can recognize QR codes or equipment information and display operating status, energy consumption, setpoints, and other information overlaid on the actual equipment in Augmented Reality (AR). This enables quick inspection and control of on-site equipment while improving maintenance convenience and supporting the optimization of building energy and operational efficiency.
Feature
  • AR-based recognition of building automation equipment and real-time information visualization
  • Real-time data display through QR code and building automation equipment scanning and recognition
  • Intuitive interface based on zone identification and location information
  • Visualization of interconnected operating statuses between equipment
  • Integrated display of operating data including power monitoring, lighting control, equipment control, zero energy, SI, FMS, and BEMS
  • Provision of maintenance information such as wiring diagrams, drawings, and manuals through QR code recognition
  • Analysis and visualization of energy consumption
  • Analysis of hourly and cumulative energy consumption and display of the energy self-sufficiency rate
  • Equipment fault detection and real-time alarm notification
  • Minimization of additional on-site equipment installation and reduction of installation costs through QR codes
  • Reduced administrator response time and improved maintenance efficiency
  • Rapid operational response through mobile-based remote monitoring and control of on-site equipment
  • Optimization of building energy operation and energy savings
Operation
The SmarTLC 3.1 Installation Program is installed and operated on a standard PC running Windows OS. First, install SmarTLC 3.1, log in, and configure the communication settings.
Communication settings are configured between the central transmission equipment and the PC, and the computer is set to either server mode or client mode. Database information for each site is entered, along with the programs for each control scenario. After all data has been entered, the programs are downloaded while the system is online. After checking the feedback status of each downloaded program, the program is downloaded again if necessary to ensure accurate operation.

The graphic editing function is handled through a simple drag-and-drop method, in which the corresponding circuit from the database is dragged with the mouse and dropped directly onto the graphic layout. The contents and events of each program are recorded in the data log, allowing operators to review the program creation process and actual operational data logs to analyze the status of each data point and the actual load conditions.
Application
WEBAS-AR is an Augmented Reality (AR)-based mobile application that enables users to monitor and control the operating status and control information of on-site equipment in real time using smartphones and tablets. Users can recognize QR codes attached to on-site equipment or equipment identification information to view operating status, energy consumption, setpoints, and other information on a mobile screen. Key information can also be overlaid on the actual equipment in Augmented Reality (AR) for intuitive visualization. In addition, users can immediately check and control equipment status directly on site, simplifying the process of verifying information between the central control room and the field while improving the speed, accuracy, and convenience of equipment inspection and maintenance.
