Smatrol MOD
Software for MOD Bus Interface
Overview
Our ELC lighting control system operates using a proprietary communication protocol. For integration with other systems, an additional port supporting MOD Bus communication is provided.
The hardware connection uses MOD Bus/TCP over standard UTP cables, and the interface port is available on the SCU (System Communication Unit).
The main communication protocol consists of the following elements:

The main communication protocol consists of the following elements:
- Relay panel functions: relay control modules (4sRM, 6sRM, 4eRM, etc.)
- Relay On/Off commands
- Relay On/Off status
- Relay fault status / reset
- Group PSS switch On/Off
- Switch panel functions: switches (DSW-4, -8, TS-4, -8, STS)
- Switch On/Off status
- SCU date and time
Feature
Operation
Smartrol 3.1 is installed and operated on a PC running a standard Windows OS.
After installation, the user logs in and configures communication between SCU and PC, selecting server or client mode.
Database data and control scenarios are entered, and programs are downloaded in online mode.
After verifying feedback from each downloaded program, final program updates are applied.
The graphic editor allows simple drag-and-drop placement of circuits from the database onto the graphical interface.
Program activities and events are logged, enabling operators to analyze system performance and load conditions.
