Smart Sensor – Smart Occupancy Sensor (Dual Tech Detection)

Overview

One of the essential functions of a lighting control system is occupancy-based control using occupancy sensors. This control method is a direct and practical solution commonly used in most occupied spaces.

It is widely applied to lighting fixtures in areas such as apartment common entrances, elevator halls, lobbies, and other spaces frequently encountered in everyday life.
However, as dust accumulates on the sensor over time, its detection sensitivity and performance may decrease, potentially causing the sensor to stop operating properly.

To address this issue, several overseas manufacturers have developed products using Multi-Tech sensing technology. However, these imported products have been relatively expensive, making them burdensome to purchase and install.
To solve this problem, our company developed a domestically produced occupancy sensor equipped with two different sensing technologies.

Our occupancy sensor model is "OCC-PIR/RAD-2," which incorporates two types of sensors. An infrared thermal sensor and a radar sensor are installed, allowing the radar sensing function to detect subtle movements when the infrared sensor cannot detect body heat.

The sensor also includes communication functionality that allows it to share the communication line with our ELC lighting control system, reducing the amount of conduit and wiring work required. In addition, a terminal block using dry contact signals is provided so that the occupancy sensor can also be used with systems from other manufacturers.

Key Features

  • Infrared and radar sensing
  • Maximum detection range of 14 meters
  • Adjustable operation delay time and detection range switches for flexible sensor operation settings
  • Compact ceiling-mounted design with simple installation
  • Built-in sensor communication module; when connected to our ELC system, it can be connected directly to the communication line (4-wire: power and communication)
  • Two occupancy sensing modes: select "0" when connected to our system; when providing a dry contact signal to another manufacturer's system, select settings from 1 to 15 together with the sensitivity level (16 levels)
  • Smart sensing function that selectively detects whether a person who is moving frequently is present

Smart Sensor – Smart Illuminance Sensor

Overview

The PH-2 illuminance sensor was developed for indoor applications. This sensor detects illuminance using a photo cell and provides a detection range of 0–2,000 lux. When "0" is selected on the illuminance detection setting button, the sensor can be connected to our ELC system for control based on illuminance measurements. When used with another manufacturer's system, selecting a setting from "1" to "15" on the sensitivity selection button provides a dry contact signal while simultaneously allowing the illuminance sensitivity range to be selected and applied. The sensor has a built-in communication module, eliminating the need for a separate sensor communication module and reducing cable installation work.

Key Features

  • Flexible installation: Ceiling-mounted design for installation on site
  • Integrated power and communication sensor: Can be connected directly to the system communication line without a separate communication sensor module, and can also provide a dry contact signal when connected to another manufacturer's system
  • Intelligent illuminance control: The illuminance detection range can be selected and adjusted in 16 levels between 0 and 2,000 lux
  • Independent Stand-Alone operation: Programs can be downloaded directly to the sensor, allowing the sensor to operate independently through its built-in relay without a separate controller
