Our Lighting Control System (ELC: Excellent Lighting Control) offers a wide range of solutions. These various control methods are connected over a single ELC network, enabling seamless interoperation and information sharing to provide optimal solutions for our customers.
Our lighting control system has evolved through various forms over a long history to reach where it is today. In the early days of 1991, we supplied and installed the US GE TLC system in South Korea. To enhance domestic competitiveness, we collaborated technically with GE to supply and install the SLC system, primarily focusing on large-scale domestic projects.
Later, at the request of GE in the US, we exported our proprietary lighting control software (GE model: Light X) to GE USA.
In 2012, we completely revamped the relay panel design to a European style and independently developed and released the ELC system equipped with DALI solutions, expanding our reach to small and medium-sized projects across South Korea and Southeast Asian markets.
Currently, as a highly sophisticated system featuring the diverse control methods and functionalities shown below, we have expanded our market share in South Korea. We have grown our footprint into retrofitting over 3,000 existing projects, as well as sites previously installed by competitors. Built on technical excellence compared to lighting control competitors, our system continues to incorporate cutting-edge technologies. We are always listening to our customers' voices to provide flawless technical capability and detailed service.

Dimming Control Module

MRBAS Lighting Control System Architecture (Full Lighting Control System : ELC & RLCM)
Each relay module (4sRM, 6sRM, and 4eRM) features an independent Stand-Alone CPU, maintaining local control panel operation based on preset schedules even if the central monitoring unit is disabled. Furthermore, by connecting DALI gateways and EnOcean switch receivers to the ELC network, users can control ON/OFF and dimming operations for individual LED luminaires through interconnected controls. Interlinking motion sensors and time-schedule control also enables seamless application in parking lot lighting control systems. The smartphone app program and the central control room's Smartrol software complement each other effectively; the app allows convenient SCENE control directly from a smartphone instead of physical switches. Our newly designed lighting control modules and switches elevate building lighting management to the next level. Customers can fully realize their desired control concepts through flexible integration with diverse control modules such as Relay Control Modules, DALI Dimming Modules, and Wireless Dimming Modules.
Core Features and Reliability of the ELC System
We configure the system so that various highly competitive relay control modules can operate on the same network, delivering an top-tier lighting control system to our clients.
We offer four types of relay control modules: 4eRM, 6eRM, 4sRM, and 6sRM. Equipped with an onboard Stand-Alone CPU, these relay control modules can execute lighting schedules and scene programs independently, even if the central monitoring device experiences a fault or becomes unavailable. Even in the event of a module failure, individual manual control buttons on the relay itself ensure minimum manual operation at each control point on-site.
The main functional difference between eRM and sRM control modules lies in the presence of feedback contacts on the relay. While eRM relays do not feature physical feedback contacts, their status can still be checked via software, making them a more cost-effective option.
The ELC system also integrates DALI systems, 0-10V dimming systems, and wireless dimming systems on the same network, enabling interoperation and efficient lighting control across various control schemes. For instance, in an office zone, perimeter window areas can use the 6uDM 0-10V dimming control module for grouped luminaire dimming, general office areas can use 6sRM for circuit-segmented relay control, and conference rooms can use wireless or DALI dimming modules for customized scene control. This system layout allows flexible designs focused on energy efficiency.
The ELC system is proven by an extensive track record in high-reliability projects. Large-scale projects often experience system slowdowns due to communication bottlenecks. However, our ELC system boasts proven performance in massive facilities such as Incheon International Airport, COEX, and Lotte World Tower—where 20,000 to 50,000 relays are deployed—operating fault-free for over 10 years. During the initial installations of these sites, our engineers meticulously designed the network topology and conducted thorough pre-investigations to prevent communication anomalies, ensuring perfect system operation.
Recently, we expanded our system to railway stations and tunnels by leveraging long-distance optical communications. By interfacing our SCU (System Communication Unit) with optical converters, we overcame distance limitations in communication networks while employing Stand-Alone ELC control modules to ensure dependable lighting management at each station.
ELC system software delivers a wide range of powerful features, making it a highly acclaimed system for lighting control and facility management. Key functions include self-diagnostics, which allow central operators to quickly identify failures in end-line relays for prompt maintenance. Operational status tracking analyzes who or which program triggered specific relays, preventing accidental lighting shut-offs. Accumulated cycle counts and operating hours provide timely maintenance alerts for both relays and lighting fixtures. Furthermore, even if central server software is corrupted by bugs, original program data can be uploaded directly from local control panels to restore the server effortlessly.
For DALI dimming control, custom frequency adjustments prevent LED glare and flickering issues, eliminating the hassle of replacing LED fixtures on-site. Built-in sunrise/sunset scheduling removes the operational burden of manually adjusting seasonal schedules. Additionally, installing Current Sensing Modules on each relay allows direct current monitoring per circuit, offering cost savings by eliminating the need for separate electrical meters.
The sophistication of these control modules and the Smartrol software is rooted in over 50 years of field experience and industry know-how. Equipped with these advanced technologies and features, our ELC system stands ready to enhance building value and streamline facility management with uncompromised quality.
